Darren Smith raises £8,206.50 as Gloucester Golf Club Captain

On Tuesday 23rd April Darren Smith visited Oaksey House to present John Francome and Resident Manager Clare Hazell with a cheque for £8,206.50 following a year of fundraising efforts whilst captain of his golf club. 

Darren managed to raise the fund in various ways such as auctioning:

Owners day at the races, Green Fee Money, 2 x Manchester United Tickets 18/19 season, Jonjo O’Neill Stable Tour for 4, Chris Wagstaff, Kim Bailey Stable Tour, Bottle Collection, Golf costs for round at Wentworth, ITV4 Studio visit with Matt Chapman, Sir AP McCoy memorabilia, round of golf for 2 with John Francome and a day out with Doc Pritchard Behind the scenes for two people. 

We're extremely grateful to Darren and all those who supported him in raising this incredible amount which will make a huge difference to our work.
